Franklin W. Freitag

Franklin W. Freitag, age 82, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife Karen of 54 years; his children, Jon (Jennifer Dunn) Freitag, Kerry (Greg) Etter; Michael Freitag; his grandchildren Mason and Blake Etter and Chris (Ashley) Stewart and his great grandchildren Jenna, Jessica and Mason Stewart along with many nieces and nephews. Franklin is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Elizabeth Freitag; his siblings Harlow, Evora, Russell, Julia, Marion and Annette. Frank was a kind and generous man who loved his family, traveling with Karen, and spending time in the outdoors. In his spare time he enjoyed sports. He was a stand-out baseball player in his younger years and had fond memories of playing an exhibition game against the Yankees. He was a devoted employee of Century Fence for years. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him appreciated his great sense of humor. Services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church (145 E Lisbon Rd, Oconomowoc). A visitation will be held from 4pm - 6pm with a service at 6pm. A private burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery will take place on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, the Salvation Army or H.A.W.S. Humane Society. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital and Visiting Angels.
