Frederick "Fred" M. Gerdes

Frederick 'Fred' M. Gerdes, age 80 of Waukesha, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Fred is survived by loving daughters Karen (Todd) Luer of Dousman and Rachel (Brendon) Reiff of Kansas City and his grandchildren Grant and Emily Luer. He is further survived by his niece Amy Gerdes and nephews Rick and John Riehle along with other relatives and friends. Fred is preceded in death by his son Michael Gerdes, his parents Hugo and Erma Gerdes, his sister Mary Ellen Riehle and his brother Robert 'Bobo' Gerdes. Fred worked as an operating engineer for Local 139. After retirement his hobbies included gun collecting, restoring antique tractors, going to car shows and truck and tractor pulls with his dear friend Jon Kohlmetz and occasionally drove tractors to his favorite watering holes. Fred will be deeply missed by his family and everyone that knew him. A visitation for Fred will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 from 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM all to be held at Pagenkopf Funeral home.
