Gary Karenz

Gary R. Karenz, age 79 of Oconomowoc, went home on Monday, October 30, 2017. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sharon, his children Dawn (Rory) Thurow, Christina (Michael) Gleesing, Jamie Retzlaff and Andrew (Jennifer) Karenz, his grandchildren Joshua (Marchell) Thurow, Chad (Lisa Arfsten) Thurow, Sean (Kassandra) Thurow, Kahla (Nate) Holm, Sarah Thurow, Whitney (Jason) Headson, Molly (Nick) Willgrubs, Brandon (Michelle) Retzlaff, Shannon Retzlaff, Xander, Caleb and Noah Karenz along with 9 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Janet Leverenz and brother Kevin Karenz along with many other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his brother Lon Karen, sister Beverly White and his son in law Daniel Retzlaff. Gary loved to bowl and was inducted into the Oconomowoc Bowling Association Hall of Fame. He loved to golf and hunt. A memorial service for Gary will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 6:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends starting at 3:00 PM all to take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
