George Barsamian, 94, of Dousman, Wisconsin, passed away on July 30, 2021 after a serious illness. He was surrounded by his loved ones at the time of his passing. George was predeceased by his parents, Tarkis and Agnes Barsamian; and his brothers, Ralph (Anna) Barsamian, Ruben (Marion) Barsamian, Nick (Arlene) Barsamian and Ralph Barsamian (nephew). He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernadine (Wentland) Barsamian; and his six children, Julie Hollandsworth (Larry), Tarkis Barsamian (Margot), George Barsamian (Lisa Akgulian), Patrice Wunsch (Keith), Jeanne Auerbach, Marie Kunde. George’s proudest legacy is his fifteen loving grandchildren whom he adored. In addition, he is survived by his three nieces, Paula Barsamian, Nancy Barsamian, Loree (Craig) Simuncak; nephew, Greg (Mary) Barsamian and grandnephew, Stephen Simuncak. After his service in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he became self-employed in the grocery/liquor business. George was an avid outdoorsman who always found time for boating, horseback riding and skiing in his younger years. His passion for the outdoors continued in his retirement as he often could be found in nature on a daily basis. He will be deeply missed and always remembered for his sense of humor, strong work ethic and ability to connect with people! A Celebration of George’s Life will be held at a future date.
