Gerald Geraldson, age 85, of Waukesha and Oconomowoc, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. Jerry is survived by the light of his life, his wife of 53 years, Jay Geraldson, children Karen (Shay) Johnson, Paul (Sylvia) Geraldson, Julie (Dan) Rabay and Peter Geraldson, grandchildren Kayla, Tori, Jacob, Jessica, Danielle and Kara, sister Eunice Anderson and brother David (Vel) Geraldson, along with many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Gerald was preceded in death by his sister Mildred and brother Raymond. A memorial service for Jerry will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Oconomowoc at 5:00 p.m. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Salvation Army of Waukesha. He served in the Navy and Army and attended Notre Dame and the University of Illinois. During a successful business career with his brother Dave (Precision Gears Inc.), Jerry became very involved in founding Southminster Presbyterian Church of Waukesha, the development of the Waukesha YMCA, past president of Rotary, in addition to other community service. Jerry and Jay then went on to form a second home in Destin, FL to enjoy the sun, golf and tennis. There, they were active members of the Community Church of Santa Rosa Beach, including service in the Stevens Ministries. Jerry will always be fondly remembered by family and friends. His grace and deep faith will be a legacy to those who knew and loved him.
