**In Loving Memory of Glenn Martin Hepfner: The Hardest Worker Ever Known**
Glenn Martin Hepfner of Hartford, WI, passed away on September 4th, 2024, at the age of 81. His life began on November 26th, 1942, with his parents, whom he endlessly adored, Martin Joe Hepfner and Anita Johanna Hepfner, in Brookfield, WI.
From US Army Veteran (Vietnam War: Stationed in Germany), to founder of Glenn Hepfner Inc (1975), Glenn’s achievements are a testament to his tireless work ethic and extraordinary vision, which will inspire many to come.
Glenn was a brilliant entrepreneur who devoted himself to building his empire. For most of his career, including his last day, he was the first to arrive and the last to depart his facility. Glenn walked with purpose. His hands were never idle, deeply calloused from years of hard work and always stained from the greasy materials he handled. Though no matter how busy he was, Glenn would always make time to share his kindness, stories, and friendship. His empire will be left in the hands of his two sons, Troy and Todd Hepfner. Alongside Todd’s wife, Christi, Glenn’s grandchildren, Alexandra, Kennedy, and Rylee, and the team of employees Glenn built, they will continue Glenn’s undying legacy with care and dedication.
Glenn’s heart raced for more than just the thrill of his empire; it beat for the races and the track he nurtured with his own hands. As a proud, previous owner of Beaver Dam Raceway, Glenn devoted countless hours to ensuring it was not just a place for high-speed action, but also a place of camaraderie and dreams for professional and amateur racers alike.
Glenn’s many achievements were undoubtedly something to be proud of, but the only thing that gave Glenn more satisfaction was his family. His home, overflowing with photos of his grandchildren and countless photocopies of their achievements, decades-old magazines that even just slightly mention his sons’ names, and his Bible, bookmarked with the original newspaper announcing his marriage to Leah Mae (Nelson) Hepfner. The love and pride of his family is what truly gave Glenn his ultimate purpose.
Glenn’s race in life wasn’t against his opponents, nor the clock, but against mediocrity, and he crossed that finish line with flying colors.
Rest peacefully, Glenny. We’ll always remember you as the man who worked tirelessly hard, loved deeply, and lived fully. Thank you for filling this world with your many ideas, perseverance, unforgettable smile, and irreplaceable presence.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) to honor Glenn’s undying love for his dogs: Buttons, Sammy, and Charlie.
