Gregory Nowak

54, Milwaukee, passed to eternal life on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, following a fatal heart attack. Greg was born April 6, 1956 in Milwaukee. He is survived by his parents; Robert and Mildred; four siblings - twin brother Steve, Muskego; Janet, Pewaukee, Ted, Brookfield, Ellen Belk, Fort Mill, S.C., sons Anthony and Christopher, several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Greg is a graduate of Wauwatosa West High School where he was on the cross country and track teams. He attended St. John's University, Collegeville Minn. and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. As a young adult, Greg played three years for the Fresno Giants, a minor league farm team for the San Francisco Giants. A sports enthusiast, Greg had recently resumed his interest in running. Funeral services will be Saturday Nov. 20 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Oconomowoc. Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:30 a.m. Donations, in Greg’s memory, can be made to: St. Jerome Catholic School, 995 Silver Lake St., or the Milwaukee Rescue Mission.
