Heather Medford (Nee Franzel)

Heather Franzel unexpectedly passed away on July 20, 2019. Heather is loved very much and will be missed by her family and friends. Heather had a kind heart, was never mean, and always accepted people no matter who they were. She trusted people, maybe even too much, and always saw the best in people. Heather's proudest achievement was becoming a certified dog trainer and loved her job at Petco. Heather endured a lot of pain in this world. She had been beaten, assaulted, homeless, battled breast cancer as well as issues with mental illness. Despite all her pain, she forgave, tried to help others in need and kept smiling. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to have fun, and was easy to get along with. Her favorite place in all the world was Charleston, South Carolina. She lived there for several years, enjoying the sunshine and ocean breeze. Her wishes were to be cremated and return there. Her Mom, Dad, sister Michelle, Aunt Susan, Uncle Jerry, and cousins Abbey, Jeremiah and Anna will always love and miss her; as will may of her friends, especially Liz. Along with her faithful and ever loving service dog, Dior, who helped Heather every day. The peace that passes understanding is knowing we will see her again in heaven.
