Hildegarde A. Staus

Hildegarde A. Staus, age 88, of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 26, 2018. Hilde is survived by her son Jay (Kristi) Staus; her grandchildren Sylvia and Jack Staus; her siblings Shirley, Charlotte, Joanne, Bill, Ed, Sally, Diane, Rosemary and Gail along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Hilde is preceded in death by her loving husband John 'Jack' Staus along with her siblings Deloris, Leroy, Marjorie, Dick, Joe and Sandy. Hilde was the oldest of 16 children and helped raise many of her siblings. She loved gardening, and volunteering at church. Hilde was known for her cooking and baking talents, including her famous chili. She welcomed everyone with a hot cup of coffee or ice cold beverage, and nobody left her house hungry. Hilde was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Services for Hilde will take place at Good Shepherd Methodist Church (800 Lake Dr, Oconomowoc), on Saturday, November 03, 2018. A visitation will be held from 11 am until time of service at 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Methodist Church.
