Holiday T. Durnford, age 78, of Milwaukee and formerly of Oconomowoc, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010. Holiday is survived by his former wife Helen Quay, children Amy (Ben Madison) Durnford of Milwaukee and Steven (Krisann) Durnford of Muskego, grandchildren Michelle, Shane, Dillon, Luke, Bethany and Anna, great-grandchildren Louis, Regan and baby Gavin. He is also survived by a sister Olive Scholler and brother John Durnford, along with many other cousins, relatives and friends. Holiday was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters Florenz, Pauline, Ross, Fredric, Harold, James, Ronald and Gerald. A private service and burial will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2010 with burial at Glenview Memorial Gardens in Ixonia, WI. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oconomowoc at 11:00 A.M. with a visitation to start at 10:00 A.M. Memorials are suggested to the family. Holiday served in the Army and fought in Japan during the Korean Conflict. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Maul in the Oncology Alliance Dept. at Colombia St. Mary?s Hospital, the hospital?s hospice program and to his dear friend Ray Schiessl.
