Hortense "Edie" Dimpfl

Hortense Elida Dimpfl, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Waupaca, WI, on September 2, 1939, to Alonzo and Helen Harris (nee O’Neil).

Hortense attended Waupaca High School and in her later years was an active participant in the Grand Reunion, cherishing the memories and connections made during those formative years.

She was a member of the AT&T Pioneers, where she showcased her commitment to helping others, and selflessly served her community.

Hortense found joy in tending to her flower garden and whipping up delicious meals in the kitchen. Her love for cooking and gardening brought her immense happiness and provided a sense of peace in her life.

She is survived by her two sons Mark and Scott (Cheryl) Dimpfl.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Evin for their compassion and care during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association and Arthritis Foundation are greatly appreciated.

In celebration of her life, a gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at Smoke on the Water (N50W35016 Wisconsin Ave, Okauchee Lake, WI 53069 ) from 1:00-4:00pm. Please join us as we remember Hortense with joy, laughter, and fond memories.
