James A Garber

James A. Garber, age 67 of Dousman WI, went to be with the Lord, or as Jim would say kicked the bucket, on August 12, 2022 shortly after diagnosis of an aggressive liver cancer. James is survived by his beloved wife Debbie of 48 years, his son’s Jeremy (Daughter in law Angela) and Josh, and grandchildren Mackenzie and Jack, his sister’s Ruthanne Pichler, Mary (Gary) Reynolds, along with many family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Hilda Garber, Brother in law, Randy Pichler. Jim worked with his father in a well drilling business, and then retired 11 years ago from working maintenance at WCTC for 31 years. He was full of life; he loved being up north hunting, fishing, playing cards, and sitting by the fire with family, friends, but especially his boys, wife, and both of his grandchildren. He also enjoyed collecting things, fixing an assortment of small engines, cooking wild game, and being the neighborhood watch. Jim loved people, making an impact on everyone he knew or ever met. His great sense of humor, storytelling, and teasing made him unforgettable. He was so compassionate, always there for others who needed help, or visiting people in the hospital. He was a father and grandfather figure to many neighbors and friends. The viewing will be held, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Pagenkopf Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with the service to follow at 12 p.m., followed by the burial at Lisbon-Merton Union Cemetery.
