James Baird

James Howard Baird, 72, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 14, 2012. James is survived by his loving wife Kathy, sons Robert (Shelly) Baird, Ronald (Jenny) Baird, John (Jayme) Baird and Tim (Liz) Baird, step-daughters Noel (Khamp) Manikham, Amanda (Andrew) Kelly and Brittany (Jerad) Adler. Grandfather to 14 grandchildren. Sister to Sandra Dahlgren of Pompano Beach, FL and Eileen (Bill) West of Sevierville, TN. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. James is preceded in death by his parents Ronald Baird and Donna Monyelle. James was a US Navy veteran and a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Oconomowoc Chapter #635 and the Tin Can Sailors and also volunteered with many other veterans organizations. He was an over the road truck driver for over 40 years logging over 2 million safe miles. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and a member of the HOG-Rock River Chapter. James enjoyed auto racing at the Milwaukee Mile, fishing, hunting, politics and reading and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Funeral services for James will take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service with military honors to follow.
