James E. Dickson, Sr.

James E. Dickson Sr., of Dousman, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born on February 5, 1931 to Monte and Katie (Reed) Dickson in East Rainelle, West Virginia. James is survived by his wife, Lorena; his children, Marsha Kim (Paul) Neumann, Sara Kay (Kenneth) Graham, James Edwin Dickson Jr, Thomas Lee (Toni) Dickson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chris) Reinsel, Bradley (Karissa) Graham, Ryan (Marianne) Graham, Lisa (Joseph) Fellenz, Sheila (DeMario) Pickens, Kailey Dickson and Kendall Dickson; great-grandchildren, Andy, Jack and Emily Reinsel, Kimberly and Madelynn Fellenz, Roman and Preston Pickens, Ben, Elizabeth and Max Graham, Jude, Milo and Violet Graham; his sister, Lily Pruitt; and many nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law. He is preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Bernice Carmen (Allen) Helson, Monte Lee (Norma) Dickson Jr, Leroy Dale Dickson and Roberta Mae Dickson. James was united in marriage to Lorena Brown on July 18, 1953. He served in the U.S. Navy. James was a resident of Dousman for over 50 years. He was involved with the community Lions Club, 4-H and Boy Scouts. James worked his entire career at Johnson Controls from where he had retired. He enjoyed raising his family on the land that he loved and the surrounding parks and lakes. James was a very loving husband, father, grandpa and great-grandpa. He was a very kind and gentle man. He will be dearly missed. A private family service will take place at Town of Ottawa Cemetery. Memorials in James’ name are suggested to Dementia Society of America or the American Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank the Preceptor Hospice team and also all the healthcare workers of Crossroads Care Center of Pewaukee who have cared for James.
