James F. Franzen

James F. Franzen, age 87, formerly of Detroit and Roscommon, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Jim is survived by his loving wife Shirley(St. Aubin) Franzen of 66 years; his children J. Scott (Betty Lou) Franzen, Kathi (George) Daubner; and Cheryl (Thomas) Maginley; grandchildren Laura (David) Laudenslager, and Ryan and Brett Maginley; great-grandchildren Benjen and Kara Laudenslager; and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anne (Hindle) Franzen. Jim worked for many years as an HVAC contractor in the Detroit, Michigan area and was a retiree member of UA Pipefitters Local 636. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Private services and interment are tentatively planned for spring 2018 at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Lake Country and Seasons Hospice for their loving care shown to Jim.
