(Jim) James Glenn Schaefer of Jefferson WI, Entered Heaven at 10:19 am Saturday October 30, 2021 due to hospital’s protocol followed for Covid treatment. Jim was born June 18, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI. He was the only son of James J. Schaefer and Beverly J. Schaefer (Wolf). Jim was married to (Cathy ~Cat) Catherine M. Schaefer on November 3, 1979 in Riverton, WY (42 yrs). Jim enjoyed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He loved his wife with his every fiber, to his core. He loved his Josh, Jay, Jessie, and Trina beyond any descriptive words and was so very proud of the family foundation that he witnessed, put in place. He was full of Life and loved making people happy and laugh, a natural comedian. Known as “Big Jim” and for his “Bear Hugs”. He thoroughly enjoyed serving the homeless and elderly communities, he so enjoyed listening to their life stories. Jim was an avid outdoorsman, loved to take us everywhere, if for a “Ride” with no destination, being in the depths of “Kings Canyon” looking for General Sherman to fulfill his brides lifelong dream, or specific destinations; Wyoming, Oklahoma, The Red Woods, Canada, The Caribbean, Nashville TN, London KY, Myrtle Beach SC, Fort Meyer FL, Cave Creek AZ, Townsend MT, Arnett OK, Big Flatts, ALASKA!!! He Loved Life! He had a genuine work ethic. October 24, 2021, Jim celebrated 36 years of service as a Master Mechanic for Quadgraphics Inc., Sussex, WI. Jim is survived by his Wife: Cathy (Cat) 3 Sons, 1 Daughter, 10 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, 4 Sisters, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and an Insurmountable amount of Friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and Beverly Schaefer, his Father- in-Law Kenneth R. McElroy, and Brother-in-Law Manuel Macrafic. Celebration of Life Service is at White Stone Community Church located at 2517 N. Dousman Rd Oconomowoc, WI 53066 on November 13, 2021. Visitation from 9:30am-11am ~ Service to follow from 11am-1pm In Lieu of Flowers~ Donations may be made to Jim and Cat’s Blessing Fund via White Stone Community Church.
