James "Jim" Grant Preston

James Grant Preston, age 57, passed away at Aurora Summit on Saturday, June 3, 2023. He was born December 8, 1965, in Madison, WI.

Jim is survived by his wife Beth(Redman) and son Jon Preston of Oconomowoc, WI. He is further survived by his parents, Karen(Underdahl) and John Preston of Bonita Springs, FL, his siblings:Sue Gerritsen(Mike), Harmony Holder(Jim), Wendy Rinehart, John Preston(Lisa), and Angel Millikin(Scott), as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Jim was a former Alderman in Oconomowoc. Jim was also a Past Master of Freemasonry Masonic Lodge 42 in Oconomowoc.

Jim had a passion for gourmet cooking, helping people in need(whether it be a meal, clothing or a sleeping bag he would deliver) lived by his motto Pay it Forward. In recent years, he enjoyed laser cutting decorations.

Jim was a fighter and found joy in life everyday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Jim's name are appreciated.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Lake Country Masonic Lodge 42 (2911 N Dousman Road #2, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:00am until start of service at 11:00am.
