James L. Harris

James L. Harris, age 73, of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on December 6, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Carol, his children Jason (Kate Becker) Harris, Amy (Randy) Wiesman, and Jenny (Joe) Fohey; grandchildren Elizabeth, AJ, Jack, Cody, Sydney, and Wyatt; his siblings Gerry (Laura) Harris, Cheri (Jim) Casamassa, Joel (Rose) Harris, and Lori (Dennis) Buscher; and many more family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Virginia Harris, and his brother John Harris. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968 and served in Vietnam in his early years. He was known for mechanical skills, as evidenced by his ever-growing collection of ...'stuff.' There was nothing he couldn't fix. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, and especially with his grandchildren. A memorial service for Jim will be held at a later date that is to be decided. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Jim may be made to the NRA or to any veteran's organization of your choosing.
