James Leo Michalsky

James L. Michalsky, 67, born September 17, 1946 of Oconomowoc, WI, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 14, 2013 while at his cabin in the woods. James is preceded in death by his parents LeRoy Mike (Janette) Michalsky and brother Everett. James was born and lived in Oconomowoc, WI his entire life. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving a tour of duty in the Vietnam War. He worked for Wisconsin Electric as a foreman until his retirement. Jim loved to fish, hunt and work in his garden. He also loved to take many aerobic classes and socialize at the Lake Country Racquet and Athletic Club in Hartland. James is survived by daughter Julie (Tod) Kinunen of Mukwonago and their 4 children; Elias, Olin, Linnea, Elsa, son Michael (Erin) Michalsky of Wisconsin Dells and their 3 children; Will, Luke and Maya, sister Susan (Richard) Indermuehle of Manitowish Waters, WI and his nephews Richard and Theodore. A memorial gathering for James will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Thursday, November 21, 2013 beginning at 5:00 PM. A time of remembrance followed by military honors will take place at 6:30 PM, all to be held at the funeral home. Memorials in Jim’s name may be made to the VFW Post #2260, 830 E.
