Jane Ann Bruce

Jane Ann Bruce, age 74, of Nashotah, WI, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, with loved ones surrounding her. Jane was born on February 2, 1950, to Henry and Esther (nee Winchell) Bruce.

Jane dedicated much of her life to her work, spending 45 years at Plasticon in Oconomowoc, where her commitment and expertise shone brightly. Following the passing of her brother, Big Jim, Jane stepped up to help run Big Jim's Small Engine Service, embodying the spirit of family and dedication in all she did.

Jane's love for life was evident in her appreciation for nature, enjoying leisurely walks in the woods and the thrill of riding in her Miata.

Jane is survived by the love of her life, Bob White of Waukesha, WI; sister Barbara Johnson of Oconomowoc, WI, nieces Bekki (Dan) Chapman of Costa Mesa, CA and Kristin (Jay) Willey of St. Louis, MO; along with many other family and friends.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents; brother Big Jim; niece Erin Bruce; brothers-in-law Michael Johnson and Mark Gempeler; along with aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Aurora Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Jane's final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Friends of Retzer Nature Center in Jane’s memory.

A visitation to celebrate Jane’s life will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 10:00am-12:00pm, with a service to follow.
