Jane M. Sweet (Nee Hackl) Born to eternal life September 19, 2021, aged 95. Jane passed peacefully at Aurora Hospital in Oconomowoc surrounded by family. Survived by cherished sister Elaine Parys, beloved mother of Jan (Tom) Bruski, Jay Milneritsch and Jeff (Anje) Milneritsch. Dearest grandmother of Nicole Milakovich, Tanya (Tony) Heinecke and Melissa (Mike) Monson. Precious Great-grandmother to Hailey and Hannah Milakovich and Lily and Chase Monson. Preceeded in death by her younger brother Thomas Hackl. Jane was born in Milwaukee to Jack and Hazel Hackl, the oldest of three children. She graduated from North Division High School. During WWII, as young adults, she was proud that she and her sister could work for the war effort doing factory and office jobs. In addition, she was also a professional model. After the war, she married Joe Milneritsch and had three children Jan, Jay and Jeff. Besides being a homemaker, she worked part-time as a cashier at Red Owl food stores and Woolworth’s dime store. Later, she sold Copper Craft and Viviane Woodard Cosmetics through home parties. Jane loved to sew anything and everything. From Barbie clothes and prom dresses to curtains and quilts. She passed her love of sewing to her daughter. She loved cooking and baking. Always trying new and delicious recipes. She made the most spectacular desserts. Whether we had sandwiches or company, she always set a perfect table. Jane was always up for an adventure and liked to travel. Later, she married Dr. James Sweet, a chiropractor and moved to a farm in Lebanon, Wisconsin. She was proud of her green thumb. She had a large garden and grew flowers and vegetables to can and freeze. She was also the office manager at his practice in Greenfield. Since his passing, Jane has lived in Watertown and Oconomowoc. She was very active in her church. For many years she was the secretary for Church Women United and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul thrift store in Watertown. She was most proud of her family and their accomplishments. She will be remembered for her gentle and kind personality. Her graciousness, class and for her sense of adventure. A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 21, 2021, at 2:00pm, with a visitation from 2-3:30pm. Service at 3:30pm to 4:30pm at Pagenkopf Funeral Home 1165 Summit Ave. Oconomowoc, WI 53066. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice in Jane’s name would be appreciated.
