Janine E. Allington

Janine Eunice Allington (nee Pawlak), 90 of Oconomowoc, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Loving mother to Jeffery L. (Donna) Allington of Oconomowoc and Donna M. (Thomas) Zwicke of New Berlin. Cherished grandmother to Brandon J. (NIna) Specht, Stephanie M. Specht and great-grandmother to Cooper T. Woolley. Janine is also survived by her sister-in-law Jeanne Jack of Prescott, Arizona along many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Donald R. Allington, parents Wencil and Mary Pawlak and her 9 brothers and sisters. In 1943 Janine met the love of her life, Donald, and they were married for 65 years until Donald's passing in 2009. She enjoyed motorcycling and was a member of the West Allis Motorcycle Club along with Donald. Janine was picked up by Donald on a Harley-Davidson with a third wheel on a rainy day for their first date. She worked for Baso for 23 years and retired after nine years working at G.E. Medical. Janine and Donald moved to Winter, Wisconsin and enjoyed casinos, traveling around the northern part of the state and outdoor activities. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Janine will be laid to rest along side her husband Donald at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Spruce, Wisconsin at a later date.
