Jerald "Jerry" Wendt

It is with great sadness that the family of Jerald ‘Jerry’ Wendt announce his sudden passing on September 24, 2021, at the age of 77. Jerry will be fondly remembered by his wife, Jackie; two daughters, Amber Snider of Hartford, WI and Wendy Compton (Charles Van Handel) of Fond du Lac, WI; two stepdaughters, Sherry (Mike) Nettesheim of Richfield, WI and Dawn (Dan) Hakes of West Bend, WI; seven grandsons, Quinn (Nettey), Alec (Emma Melvin), and Riley (Hailey Pickart) Compton, Noah Snider, Jacob Nettesheim, Colin and Braden Hakes; one granddaughter, Jordan Nettesheim; and one great-grandson, Dominic Compton. Jerry is further survived by his sister, Janis (Bill) Johnson; brother Richard (Evie) Wendt; brother-in-law, Thomas (Loretta) Roetz; nephews, nieces, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Linda (Lehman) Wendt; and brother, Ronald. A special thank you to Mark and Barb Bednarski for their friendship and support. Jerry was a retiree of Sears, an exceptional cook and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his family and friends by his side. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate the life of Jerry from 1pm-3pm on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 Summit Avenue, Oconomowoc WI 53066. Jerry’s wishes to become a part of the woods he loved will be honored at a later date during a private service.
