Jerry Owen

Jerry Owen, born July 25 1941 passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018. Jerry was born in Eland, WI to parents Gerald (Chuck) and Evelyn Owen. He was a very active outdoorsman, an avid fisherman, hunter and an excellent gardener. No matter where he was living – you could count on Jerry to have the best garden and greenest thumb in town. He was most proud of his prized tomatoes, and green beans that he canned into tomato juice and dilly beans every year for friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his 4 children. Sons Mark Owen of Oconomowoc and Darren Owen of Ixonia, and daughters Cally Mattano (Christopher) of Oconomowoc and Danielle Hansen of Watertown. Sister Carole Werth of Ixonia, Betty (Steve) Roush of North Carolina and brother Alan (Margie) Owen of Ashippun. Grandchildren Nicholas Hurdle of Oconomowoc, Josie, Alexis and Cayden Hansen of Watertown and several nieces and nephews. In celebration of Jerry’s life, the family is planning a gathering for family and friends in the spring with details to be communicated at a later date. No formal public services are planned.
