Joan Jean Brennan

Joan Jean Brennan, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025 at the age of 92 surrounded by the love of her children and son-in-laws. Joan was born on October 21, 1932 in Oconomowoc, WI to John and Patricia Johnson.

Joan is survived by her children Jennifer (Larry) Geisler, Elizabeth (Peter) Gallenberger, and Colleen (Susumu) Uchiyama; grandchildren Hannah Geisler, Daniel Geisler, Erica Gallenberger, Alexander Gallenberger, Sophia (Hayden Martin) Uchiyama and Benjamin Uchiyama; great-grandchildren Arthur Martin.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Donald Huguet and her second husband Edward Brennan and is now at peace in their company.

Joan will be remembered as a devout Catholic who was proud of her Oconomowoc upbringing and being a longtime member of the Oconomowoc community. She enjoyed helping others and was honored to be a volunteer at Angels Grace. Joan had a sharp wit, a competitive spirit, and enjoyed playing cards, games, and cheering on the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Joan’s honor.

A visitation will take place on Friday February 14th from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church (W359N8512 Brown Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and she will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
