JoAnn Grennier

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Grennier (Tyszka), who left us peacefully on March 1st, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 3rd, 1946, JoAnn is now reunited with her beloved son, Joseph Grennier, as well as her sister, Kathy Cramer, all of whom predeceased her.

JoAnn was the devoted wife of Ken Grennier for 63 years, sharing a lifetime of love and cherished memories together, and the loving mother of Joseph Grennier, Lyn Grennier Gottlieb (Mark), Sheryl Grennier Raether (Jay), and Jill Grennier Harder (Derek). She was a proud grandmother to Joe Grennier, Laura Grennier Kieler (Clint), Ellen Grennier Rhodeman (Justin), Tyler Gottlieb (Kristina), Mike Harder (Katherine), Noah Mclaughlin, Ashley Harder, Mira Raether, Luke Raether, and Vincent Raether. She was a great-grandmother to Jackson Kieler, Declan Kieler, Corbin Kieler, Luka Rhodeman, Watson Rhodeman, and Gianna Gottlieb, who will carry on her legacy of love.

JoAnn is also survived by her brother, Fred Tyszka.

A woman of great strength and love, JoAnn spent her final years bravely battling Alzheimer’s disease. Despite the challenges, her vibrant spirit and love for her family never wavered.

Known for her remarkable sense of humor, JoAnn had a gift for lighting up any room she entered. Whether she was sharing a funny story or cracking a joke, her infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew her. She often said, "I automatically loved you if you liked animals or Oreos." JoAnn’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and warmth. Her influence will continue to shine through her children, grandchildren, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. The joy she brought into the lives of others will forever be a part of her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.

A celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation in JoAnn’s memory.

Rest in peace, JoAnn. Your love, light, and memorable sense of humor will never be forgotten.
