John C. Fishleigh

John C. Fishleigh, age 90 of Oconomowoc, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. John is survived by his loving daughter Michelle (Tom) Barsamian, his step sons, Bob (Lyn) Engelhardt, Don (Lin) Engelhardt and Jerry (Kris) Engelhardt. His grandchildren Barrett (Emily), McCall and Burke Barsamian. His step grandchildren Valarie (Bob) Mouradian, Lori (Dave) Ristau, Dawn (David) Kolberg, Pam (Ryan) Kloth, Don (Helen) Engelhardt, Michelle (Brad) Henes and Jennifer ( Scott) Guckenberger along with 15 great grandchildren. John is further survived by his sister Carol Meles along with many other relatives and friends. John is preceded in death by his beloved wife Vernell and his beloved dog Baby. John was an avid reader, a die hard Republican and loved paying attention to the stock market. He was a member of PHI DELTA THETA at Michigan State University, from which he graduated in 1949. Besides his time in Kiwanis as President and treasurer, John also served on the Oconomowoc School Board and was the treasurer at the Historical Society of Oconomowoc. He will be remembered as a kind person with a contagious laugh. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff and residents at Shorehaven LTA Apartments. They truly made his life happy while there. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. A funeral service will be held for John on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home. Visitation will start for family and friends at 1:00 PM until the time of Service at 3:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Oconomowoc Kiwanis Club in John's honor.
