In Loving Memory of John Dorau. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Dorau (61) who left us too soon on Saturday, January 25. Born on October 15, 1963, John was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
John was on a mission to travel the world with family and friends. John loved fly fishing and wanted to share this passion with family members. He made his presence well known and was determined to always have a good time. He was the life of the party!
He is survived by his loving wife, Susie; his children, Kaitlyn (Mark) Jeranek and Michael (Molly) Dorau; his grandchildren, Brady, Benjamin, Meadow and Knox; his mother, Mary; his siblings, Jim Dorau, and Mike (Kelli) Dorau; his nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Josh, Ashley, Emily and Savannah. He was preceded in death by his father Ron. John will be deeply missed by his family and a never-ending list of friends.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 4 at 10 AM at St. Charles Catholic Church, 313 Circle Dr, Hartland, WI where we will gather to honor his memory and legacy. Visitation will start at 10 AM and a mass service will be held at 1 PM, followed by a 3 PM reception at The Legend of Bristlecone. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lake Country Foundation PO Box 406, Hartland, WI 53029 for The John Dorau Memorial Fund – Project for the Benefit of Clean Water in Inquitos Peru.
Rest in peace, John (Dad). We promise we will carry on your love, memories and legacy. It gives us peace to know that you truly lived your best life. You will forever be in our hearts.
