John Lloyd Wiedenhoeft

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Lloyd Wiedenhoeft. Born on June 22, 1954, in Waukesha, WI, John peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2023, at Aurora Summit Hospital. He was a beloved son, brother, and friend, who will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.

John grew up on Lower Genesee Lake and in Genesee Depot. He received his high school education and proudly earned his diploma from Kettle Moraine High School in Wales, WI, in 1972. During his time there, he was an integral part of the 1970 Class B State Champion KMHS cross country team. John's love for athletics and the outdoors was apparent throughout his life, as he particularly enjoyed walking along the local trails of Delafield and indulging in motorcycle rides on his cherished Harley. He was a strong advocate for motorcycle safety education and supported organizations dedicated to promoting it.

In his professional life, John excelled as a machinist in the manufacturing industry. His expertise and commitment were valued by his colleagues and those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. John's dedication to his craft earned him a respected reputation in his field.

John was preceded in death by his loving father, Lloyd Wiedenhoeft, his beloved mother, Dorothy Wiedenhoeft, and sister, Myrna Wiedenhoeft. He is survived by his brother, James (Jane) Wiedenhoeft of Phillips, WI, his sister Joan McCarthy of Denver, CO, and his cherished nieces and nephews.

In honoring John's memory, memorial donations can be made to Wisconsin ABATE motorcycle safety education, an organization he passionately supported.

A visitation to pay respects and offer condolences will be held on October 7th at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM, both taking place at the Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066).

John's gentle nature, warm smile, and kind heart will forever be etched in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. May his soul find eternal peace and may his legacy of dedication and love live on in our hearts.
