John Michael Alberts

John Alberts age 82 of Oconomowoc, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 26, 2015 after a hard fought battle with Leukemia. John is survived by his loving wife, Liz of 59 years and his children Jill (Dan) Bohrman, Michael Alberts, Brian (Judy Faust) Alberts and Kevin (Jane) Alberts along with his nine grandchildren and one great grandson. Funeral services for John will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM with a visitation for family and friends to start at 11:00 AM all to take place at Pagenkopf Funeral Home. John was a lifelong resident of Oconomowoc where he donated a lot of his time and services to the community and belonged to such organizations like Kiwanis, Jaycees and Boy Scouts. He owned and operated Alberts Super Service gas station in Oconomowoc for many years. John was very involved in state politics having been a state Representative. He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved being a pilot and flying whenever he had the chance. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all that knew him.
