John N. Mcconnell

John N. McConnell passed away on January 19th, 2024, at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 21, 1934, to Fowler B.and Lucille L. McConnell.

John was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his sons John F.and Andrew, their grandchildren, Matthew and Olivia; and a great-grandchild, Kendalyn Elaina; his brother Fowler B. McConnell and sister Marilyn B. McConnell.

John’s formal education was exceptional. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Lawrence University in Appleton WI. John was an active Alumni and in earlier years attended reunions with his classmates.

John was born in Evanston, IL and grew up in Winnetka IL, and later moved to Wilmette IL after college. He followed in his Father’s footsteps and became a Buyer for Sears Roebuck and Co.

John was an avid gardener, Stamp Collector, an Avid Reader, he enjoyed History and watching golf tournaments. He was a lifetime Green Bay Packer fan as he attended Lawrence University in Appleton WI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 1st at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, WI. with visitation starting at 1:00 PM until the service at 3:00 PM, with a luncheon afterwards. The burial will be held privately with family at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie, IL in Spring.
