John Zager

John Zager 'Farmer John', age 93 of Oconomowoc, passed in peace on December 12, 2014. John was born December 18, 1920 in Port Washington, son of Frances and John Zager. He is survived by his wife LaVerne Zager and daughters Dawn (Bryan) Stanczak, Jan (Gary) Preston, Bonnie (Dwayne) Clements and grandchildren Allen (Christy) Stanczak, Danielle Stanczak and Melissa Preston. Also survived by many family members and friends. John graduated from Oconomowoc High School where he played for the school's football team, wearing #43. John worked at Rexnord in the parts department for over 40 years. He was a farmer for all his life on the family farm on Golden Lake. A celebration of John's life will be held at Pagenkopf Funeral Home in Oconomowoc on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Private burial will be held at Summit Cemetery.
