Jon Phillip Evert

Jon P. Evert, age 87, of Watertown, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born January 29, 1934, in Chicago, IL, to Paul and Wilma Evert. Jon is survived by his two daughters, Sue (Steve) Cantwell and Peggy (Jeff) Soldner; six grandchildren, Carson Cantwell, Claire Cantwell, Casey (Emily) Cantwell, Corwyn (Bridget) Soldner, Caleb (Megan) Soldner, and Conner Soldner; eight great-grandchildren, Marlow Cantwell, Ida Cantwell, Cameron Soldner, Juliana Soldner, Remington Soldner, Avery Soldner, Maya Soldner, and Harper Soldner; as well as a niece, Margaret (Mark) Burka; grand-nieces, Lia (Joseph) Oldakar and Deborah (Joseph Theroux) Burka; and great-grand-nieces and nephews, Eloise, Abe and Winnie Oldaker, and Margot and Talia Theroux. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Joan Edwards, and his wife, Carol Evert (nee Sharpe). A graveside gathering for family will be held in the future.
