Joyce Ann Fischer

Joyce A. Fischer, (nee Pheifer), passed away on Jan. 5, 2012 at the age of 80. A resident of Oshkosh,WI the majority of her life she also enjoyed residences in Pewaukee, WI and Tucson, AZ. Trained as a registered nurse, Joyce was a retiree of Winnebego County, WI. She was married nearly 50 years to the late Thomas B. Fischer. Joyce enjoyed special interests such as sewing, quilting and teddy bear making. She was happiest in the company of her 2 girls, grandchildren, close friends and family. Joyce will be sadly missed by her daughters: Kathryn L. Karl of Ephrata, PA and Cristy J. Farley of Hartland, WI. She is very loved by her grandchildren: Brandon Mueller of East Stroudsburg, PA, Aja Joy Slater (Karl)of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Emily Karl of Ephrata, PA, Grant and Erin Farley of Hartland, WI. Great-grandchildren include: MacKenzie Mueller, Rhiannon, Stone, Ella, Autumn, Sophia and Alia Slater all of PA. Surviving siblings are: Phillis (Paul) Bogart of Los Angeles, CA, Robert (LaVerne) Pheifer, Alan (Patricia) Pheifer, Kathryn (Jim) Votava all of Neenah, WI and Marcia Westwater of Phoenix, AZ. A private family visitation has been held. Joyce's life will be celebrated at Pagenkopf Funeral Home, 1165 E. Summit Ave. Oconomowoc, WI 53066 on Tues. Jan.10, 2012 with a memorial gathering for family and friends at 11:00 AM followed by a service at 12:00pm. Memorial contributions in Joyce's name may be made to The American Cancer Society. Kathy and Cristy gratefully appreciate all of the family, friends and caregivers who have extended acts of kindness and concern during Joyce's life and recent illness.
