Joyce Virginia Meyer

Joyce Virginia Meyer, passed peacefully at the age of 87, on January 1, 2025 waiting for God's kingdom.

Joyce was born in Clintonville, WI on November 17, 1937. She was the daughter of Chester and Virginia (McNutt) Piehl of Clintonville.

Joyce grew up in Clintonville and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1956. Upon graduation, she moved to Milwaukee to work office jobs. She married Gordon H. Meyer, Jr. of Clintonville on May 16, 1959 at the United Methodist Church in Clintonville. They lived and worked in Clintonville for a few years until they moved to Milwaukee for work. After living in Milwaukee for about 10 years, they then moved to Oconomowoc and raised 2 daughters. They lived in Oconomowoc until their retirement years, then moved to Watertown in 1998.

Joyce loved her family and was very involved in her church. She did volunteer work in Watertown and was a longtime, faithful member of Worldwide-United Church of God.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Plantz and Tracy (Rick) Judge; three grandchildren, Anthony (Brenda) Plantz, Cassie Schmeling and Nathan (Jeanie) Judge; sister Barb (Bob) Bartlet; along with many other loving family and friends.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents; and sister Beverly Sasse.

Joyce will be laid to rest next to her husband at Glenview Memorial Gardens in a private family burial.
