Judith Furey

Judith Diana Furey, 80, passed away, at her home on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in Ottawa WI.

She was born April 17th, 1943 to the late Eldred Charles Bardon and Evelyn Irene (Gabrielson) Bardon in St Peter, Minnesota. She was then brought up in Mitchell, South Dakota. She graduated high school at South Miami, and then attended Miami Bible college. After that she worked as a dental assistant and plastic surgeon assistant. Judy accepted Christ as her Lord and savior as an adolescent, she had a passion for Jesus, who was the center of her life. She served in her church, and attended bible studies. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and crafting. She was a good cook, and loved spending time with family and friends.

She met Douglas Eroe Furey at Elmbrook Church where they were married on August 17, 1974. They honeymooned in Montana at Glacier national park and slept in a 6’ diameter tent which proved to Doug what a catch she was. She was a sister, devoted wife, loving mother, special aunt and grandmother.

Survived by her husband, Doug and her sons Jonathan (Erica) Furey of Lakeville MN; and their children Conor and Samatha, Benjamin (Kahla) Furey of Ottawa WI; and their children Violet, Myra and Jonah; Her siblings Melvin (Karen), Pauline (Greg), Paul (Sue), and Patricia (Ron) In laws George, Jack (Barbara), and many nieces and nephews

Preceded in death by her parents, Timothy (unborn son) in laws George and Bertha Furey, sister in law Josphine and her husband Sim and their children Mark and Gen

Funeral service for Judy will be held at Pagenkopf 2228 N Silver Maple Lane Oconomowoc, WI, on February 17th, 2024, visitation beginning 9 am to 11 am, followed by a service then luncheon, private burial will follow for immediate family
