Karon Kay Legan, of Waterford, age 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 14, 2023 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was born on April 25, 1939 to Robert and Eleanora (Henke) Umbreit in Milwaukee.
Karon is survived by her children, Scott E. (Juli) Legan, Guy J. (Robyn – deceased) Legan, Tracy L. (Kevin) Delimat, Aaron J. Legan, Douglas E. (Amy) Legan; her grandchildren, Joshua (Megan) Legan, Travis Legan, Alex (Ashley) Legan, Spencer (Tessee) Legan, Tiffany (Ross) Jones, Amanda (Richard) Thinnes III, Margaret Karon (Federoff) Legan, Cody Legan, Danielle (Ryan) Helmer, Geir Legan, Casey Legan, Savannah (Lance) Dell, Karly Kay Legan and Bethany Legan; her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lainey Legan; Nolan, Griffin Legan; Drake, Meadow Legan; Ty, Taylor Jones; Charlotte, Kaylynn, Colton, Allison Thinnes; and Scarlett Federoff; her sister, Marylin (Bob) Schluga; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Vilamae Umbreit; her brothers, Robert and Vernon Umbreit; and her aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Karon was very artistic and creative. She had a long career as a floral manager. She loved her Tennessee Fox Trotter, Rose. Karon was very proud of her 5 children, her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 24, 2023 in the Chapel at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 10700 W. Capitol Drive in Milwaukee, with a graveside service at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Karon’s name may be made to Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc.
