Kathleen A. Parzych

Kathleen A. Parzych, age 77, known by those who loved her as Mom, Grandma, Mimi, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2023 with her family by her side. Kathy was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 10, 1945 to Richard and Jeanette Zalewski (nee Kwasiborski).

Kathy was a remarkable person whose selflessness knew no bounds. She dedicated her entire life to her family and loved ones; they were always her top priority. Kathy lived with few regrets because she was adventurous and eager to try new things that piqued her interest. As a result, she owned a donut shop, bred dogs, raised finches, built and maintained water ponds, grew huge gardens, and raised chickens. Kathy had an artistic flair and was incredibly gifted when it came to her creative pursuits, including cooking, baking, knitting, sewing, and, especially, quilting. She gave so many gifts to family and friends that will be treasured forever.

When Kathy wasn’t crafting, she loved to play cards and games, watch the Brewers, and read. She was a member of a book club for over 20 years and always enjoyed sharing and talking about what she had recently read. Kathy spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren and loved attending all of their sporting events and artistic activities. Kathy considered being a grandma the best job she ever had.

Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her son Greg (Pam) Parzych and daughters Sue (Scott) Maule and Cindy (Jim) Albrecht; grandchildren Morgan, Garrett, Gavin and Kendall Parzych, Sarah and Abbie Maule, and Rachel and Ryan Albrecht; siblings Arline (Wally) Dzielinski, Tom (Pat) Zalewski, and Marianne (Ken) Osypowski; honorary grandchildren Phoenix, Zodi, and Cruz Solberg; and her dog Luke. We all know she is in heaven resting and finally enjoying her Brandy Old Fashioneds again.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Tom, her mom and dad, and her nephew Danny.

A service will be held on April 21, 2023 at RiverGlen Christian Church (S31 W30601 Sunset Drive, Waukesha, WI 53189) at 3:00PM to celebrate Kathy’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses. Any additional money will be donated in Kathy’s name to The American Cancer Society.
