Kathleen M. Swain
Of Dousman, died on Sunday, October 22nd, at the age of 91 years. Kathleen was born in Milwaukee on February 20th, 1932, daughter of Aloysius Calteaux and Mary Garvey. Kathleen graduated from Holy Angels Academy, and Marquette University with a B.S. in English. She worked at First Wisconsin Bank, IBM, and Milwaukee Map Service Inc. Kathleen was a passionate volunteer, in school libraries and lunchrooms, Boy and Girl Scouts, and Christian Women.
From retirement until she was physically unable, Kathleen served as a Vincentian with the Waukesha Conference of the St Vincent de Paul Society.
Kathleen will be dearly missed by her children; Jean (George) Gama, Marguerite (Robert) Pfaff, and Patricia Neder; daughter-in-law Suzanne Swain; cousin John (Anne) Garvey; grandchildren Zachary, Shannon, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Emily, Hannah, Charly and Nathan. Kathleen is further survived by beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin, her parents, her sisters, Margaret Ann Adlam, Joan Calteaux, brother John Calteaux, and son Daniel Swain.
The visitation for Kathleen will be held at St. Bruno’s Catholic Church (226 W. Ottawa Ave, Dousman, WI 53118) on Thursday, Nov. 2nd, from 9:00 - 11:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Reverend Dan Volkert will be presiding. A private family burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee.
Memorials are appreciated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and St Bruno Catholic Church.
