Kenneth George Groblewski, a beloved husband and father, peacefully passed away at his home on May 26, 2024. Ken was born in Milwaukee, WI to George and Regina (nee Szmania) on August 23, 1944.
Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean; son William "Billy" (Lisa); grandpa to JD (Andrea) and Jordann Burd; great-grandpa to Harper Burd; brother-in-law Bill Thessin; niece Tracy and nephew Craig.
Ken enlisted in the US Navy from 1963 to 1968, serving his country with honor on the USS Tanner. Following his service, he pursued a career as a logistic engineer for JCPenney, dedicating over three decades to the company. On November 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Jean, and together they built a beautiful life surrounded by family and friends.
He was a dedicated member of the community, serving as president of the Golden Lake Association and the Ixonia Lions Club. His commitment to volunteering and giving back knew no bounds. After his retirement, Ken continued to give back to his community by working for the town of Concord.
Ken found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was spending time in his yard, woodworking, or enjoying the serenity of Golden Lake while boating.
Acknowledging the exceptional care he received, a special thank you is extended to the staff at Brighton Hospice, with heartfelt gratitude to CNA Asia and RN Julie for their compassion and support during Ken's final days.
The family kindly requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of Ken's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory.
