Kenneth J. Wankowski

Born to Eternal Life November 8, 2022 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, surrounded by members of his family, at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Pekel) for 68 years. Loving father of Michael, Sandra, Robin Mallon (Michael), and Timothy (Jodie). Preceded in death by his father, Nicholas; and mother, Anna (nee Krueger); sisters, Virginia and Rita; brothers, Norbert, Ralph, Albin, Medard (Jerry), Dennis; and son, Christopher. Proud grandfather of Shawn Mallon, Nicholas Mallon, Andrew Wankowski, Angelica Wankowski and Roman Wankowski. Survived by other family members and friends.

Ken was a 1949 graduate of Don Bosco High School and attended Marquette University. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, Far East Command, during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 37 years with service in Wisconsin, Ohio, Missouri, Illinois and Washington, D.C. Ken was a long-time member of the Canadian Fishermen, Ltd. and a charter and honorary member of the Milwaukee Post Office Sportsman Club. He was an avid participant in most outdoor activities and competitive sports.

A Visitation will be held from 10 – 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3100 S. 41st Street in Milwaukee, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m.
