Kenneth Richard Wiedmeyer
January 6, 1944 – May 23, 2024
Sadly, the world has just lost a kind and gentle soul. Kenneth Richard Wiedmeyer passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in his home in Delafield, WI. He has left behind many people that loved and cared deeply for him.
Ken had an unwavering devotion to his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Pam (Raduege), and children, Jeff (Chiara), Lisa (Mike), Adam (Kelly), and daughter-in-law Samantha. Ken is survived by grandchildren: Andrew, Albert and Olympia Wiedmeyer and Benjamin Rasmussen. He is also survived by his brother Roger and family, brother-in-law, Robert Raduege, and aunt and uncle Robert and Dorothy Stocks.
Ken now joins his late son, Joshua Rasmussen (September 2023), his parents, in-laws, and many beloved friends and relatives in eternal rest.
Four young grandchildren will miss out on his fishing lessons, and his love for all sports. A true outdoorsman, Ken found solace in the tranquility of nature. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and exploring the great outdoors.
Ken and Pam’s story began a little later in life, first meeting in a high school hallway. Both were high school teachers in the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. One year, there was a business class at West Milwaukee High School with no available instructor. Pam went to West Milwaukee to teach one class. So, this high school hallway was the beginning of 33 wonderful years together.
Ken enjoyed his years as a West Milwaukee High School technical education teacher. His guidance and mentorship led many of his students to achieve great success in VICA drafting competitions. Students won many state and national competitions over his 30- year career at WM. He was very proud of all of them.
