Lee "Butch" Klug

Lee 'Butch' Klug, age 74 of Mapleton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 23, 2017. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Martha, his children Wendi (Joe) Unger, Lisa (Terry) Holahan and Laura (Kurt) Kenney. His grandchildren Leslee, Elizabeth, Cameron, Clara, Henry and Calvin. Butch is further survived by his sisters Karen Euting and Debbie (Bob) Kretschmer along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Butch was preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Arlene Klug, grandson Nathan Holahan, brother-in-law Ken Euting, along with other loved ones. Butch was a proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with exceptional dedication. After his tour, he was a loyal employee of Cooper Power and retired after more than 35 years. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball, horseshoes and bowling. Butch enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family at his cabin on Two Sisters Lake in Lake Tomahawk. He loved to travel, including the many cruises he took with his wife, Martha. Butch enjoyed watching and supporting local sports teams, including the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He often thought of himself as a well-seasoned 'coach from the couch' as he shared his self-proclaimed expertise with anyone within earshot. Butch will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A visitation for Butch will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of mass at 5:00 p.m. all to be held at St. Catherine's of Alexandria in Mapleton, Wisconsin. A private burial will be held on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund, St. Catherine's of Alexandria or a charity of donor's choice.
