Lee Dean Gallert, 78, of Ixonia, WI, died on Friday, March 21, 2025 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer with his kids by his side.

He was born on May 17, 1946, in Watertown, WI. Lee graduated from Watertown High School and went on to have a long career at Cooper Power Systems as a pressman.

Lee’s legacy will live on through his two children Scott (Kristine) Gallert and Lisa Turnacliff, as well as his three grandchildren Jacob (Addison) Gallert, Ryan Gallert, and Brea Turnacliff, who were a great source of joy in his life.

He is survived by his siblings Don (Diane) Gallert and Cindy Lambert. Along with dear family members Curly Gallert, Dan (Jean) Zautner, and Joyce Bahr. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents Karl and Alma Gallert and his devoted wife of 44 years Diane Gallert.

Faith was a guiding force in Lee’s life. In his adult life he was a devoted member of Dr. Martin Luther Church. He found strength, solace, and community in his church family. His influence will continue to shine through his children, grandchildren, and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. 

Lee was a servant to many and generously gave his time and talents to various causes, including Trisha’s Troops and St. Ben’s Ministry. His warm heart, giving nature, and ability to bring joy and comfort to those around him will be deeply missed. Some of Lee’s favorite hobbies, were playing cards, Yahtzee, golfing and the preforming arts. 

A special thank you to the Cancer Center of Oconomowoc, Three Pillars Senior Living Community, and Legacy Hospice, for their compassionate care and support during Lee’s final days.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Dr. Martin Luther Church in Oconomowoc. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m., followed by a luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Center of Oconomowoc or to a charity of your choice in honor of Lee.
