LeRoy Francis McCaig, age 92 of Oconomowoc, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 5, 2013 surrounded by his family. LeRoy is survived by his children Darcey (Steven) Grenier, LeAnn (Chris) Sucher and Jeff (Jasmine) McCaig, grandchildren Kelly (Joe) Ellifson, Steven and Brandon McCaig and Zach, Nich and Lucas Sucher, great grandchildren Cassandra and Brady Ellifson, dear and loving friend Lucille Knoelke, along with nieces, nephews and cousins. LeRoy was preceded in death by his first love and wife Dorothy. A memorial service for LeRoy will be on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc at 3:00 PM. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 2:00 PM until time of service. A private burial will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to AngelsGrace Hospice or St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc. LeRoy was a WWII Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater on the Aircraft Carrier USS Suwannee as the Catapult Operator from 1942-1948. He was Commander of the Albert H. Groska VFW Post 8320 of Brookfield, Wi from 2002-2003. He was an engineer for Rex Chainbelt for his entire career. He graduated from and taught at MSOE. LeRoy enjoyed spending his free time building and repairing TV's, taking family vacations and fishing. He was a creative thinker and an amateur inventor. LeRoy was appreciated for his great sense of humor and he will be deeply missed and loved by all.
