Lester Schwartz

Lester J. Schwartz Ashippun -- Lester J. Schwartz (T-Bone), age 90, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 12:30 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashippun. Burial will be at the Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery, Marquardt Manor, or the charity of one’s choice. The Pagenkopf Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Lester J. Schwartz was born on September 13, 1926 in Ashippun, the son of Conrad and Edna (Braunschweig) Schwartz. On June 15, 1952, he married Lucille Schuett. They lived and farmed in Ashippun on the Family Farm their entire life. He enjoyed farming and his animals. Lester liked visiting with friends and neighbors, and spending time with his family. He was baptized, confirmed, and was a life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ashippun, serving on the Church Council and various committees. He was President of the Ashippun Lutheran Cemetery Association and was a past member of the Ashippun Sportsman Club, Ashippun Fire Department and the Water-Fighting Team. He is remembered by his wife, Lucille of 64 years, Ashippun, his children Sarah Kottwitz of Watertown, Sally Schoenike of Ashippun and David Schwartz of Ashippun, his sister, LaVerne Jaeger of Watertown, and his sister in-law and brother in-law, Lester and Carol Schuett of Ashippun. He is also remembered by his grandchildren Lynn (Ken) Richardson of Waukesha, and Laura and Kari Schoenike of Ashippun. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-laws Herb Kottwitz and Jim Schoenike, brother-in-law Franklin Jaeger, and his in-laws Raymond and Laura (Christian) Schuett and Gert Schuett
