Leyton Stark Schultz, age 92, passed away peacefully at Angel’s Grace on October 10, 2024. Leyton was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 2, 1931 to Roy and Fern Schultz. Leyton was proceeded in death by his beloved wife, N. Judith Schultz and their son, Kyle Leyton Schultz.
Leyton (aka “Leyton the Jet”) was a devoted husband to the love of his life and wife, N. Judith Schultz for 70 years. Leyton was a wonderful and supportive father to Judson (Pamela), Dana, Tracey (Daniel) and Kyle (Allison). Leyton loved his Grandchildren with all his heart Christopher, Tyler, Ryan, Matthew (Andrea), David (Allison), Jay (Marissa), Tanner and his only Granddaughter Amy (Jack) and his two precious Great Granddaughters, Madison and Anna.
Leyton was blessed with amazing siblings who he loved and spent time with often, his sister, Holly Grassin-Kremmel and his brother Roger Schultz (Jane).
Leyton loved to be active throughout his entire life, sailing, playing hockey and skating well into his 80’s. Leyton was a social guy who was easy-going and enjoyed getting to know people. Leyton followed his grandchildren around, spending hours too numerous to count, supporting and encouraging them in their sporting activities, hockey, soccer, football, baseball and volleyball. Grandpa will always be the number one fan of his 8 amazing grandchildren who he loved and cherished.
Leyton and Judy spent most of their lives in the lake country area. They enjoyed raising their family and making memories together in their home. Leyton loved life’s simply pleasures such as being outside and caring for his yard, he was a huge fan of Polka music, he loved food and the fantastic meals prepared by Judy, and of course a few brandy old-fashioneds. Leyton’s happy place was sitting on his deck at home, in the sunshine, sipping on a cold root beer and enjoying the scenic view of their pond. Dad will always be remembered as a genuine, honest and caring soul who loved his wife and family very much. We are all blessed to have been part of his life. We know that Dad’s soul has found great joy and peace in the presence of God and having been reunited with Mom and Kyle in heaven.
Thank you to the caring Aurora Hospital Nurses and the Angel’s Grace staff for all your support that you provided to Dad and our family during this difficult time.
