Lois Ann Baker (Nee Bornfleth) Lois Passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 12 at the age of 90 years at her home in Oconomowoc. Lois was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Elsa and Paul Bornfleth. Lois is survived by her husband of 51 years, Victor and her nephew, Paul (Carol) Fischer of Oconomowoc. She was preceded in death by her sister Pearl Fischer. Lois earned her Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and her Master’s in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She taught high school in New London and West Bend. She then became an elementary teacher in Wauwatosa and retired as a guidance counselor at Wauwatosa West High School. Lois was an accomplished golfer and dedicated sports fan. She enjoyed the company of those she resided with in the Lake Terrace Apartments on the Shorehaven – Oconomowoc Campus. Lois was a member of Elm Grove Lutheran Church for over 50 years, she recently transferred her membership to Divine Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hartland. A Christian memorial service will be held in the 3rd Floor chapel at Shorehaven in Oconomowc on Monday, August 24 at 12:30 pm, Chaplain Nick Slater officiating. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to either Elm Grove Lutheran Church or the Shorehaven Foundation.
