Lois Ann Spettel

Lois Ann Spettel (nee Dehne), 87, of Ashippun, entered the kingdom of heaven on May 30th, 2016 with her devoted husband of 68 years, Donald, at her side. A lifelong Jesus follower and Christian example to her daughters Claudia (Charles) Lichtie of Waukesha and Lydia (John) Parlow of DePere, Lois centered her life around her beloved church, St Mark, Sugar Island where she was the church organist for 35 years. She, earlier in her life, taught Sunday School and directed many Sunday School Christmas programs. She was involved with the ladies aid and for years shared her talents for decorating and floral arranging. Lois is also survived by her brother Dale (Ruth) Dehne of Ashippun and sister Marie Davis of Nashotah; Grandmother of David (Amanda) Cortez of Madison and Luke, Micah and Seth Parlow of DePere. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Franklyn and Grace Dehne, sister Junis Watson, brothers-in-law Walter Watson and Robert Davis. 'This is the day which the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.' Psalm 118:24. Lois loved the gift of life and spent her days enjoying her passions with her husband and family collecting antiques, decorating and growing herbs and making 'weed' arrangements. She also, for many years, enjoyed helping her sisters at Country Echoes Antiques. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Allen Tetzlaff and Dr. John Parlow, will be held on Saturday, June 4th at St. Mark, Sugar Island W3328 County Road O with a visitation for family and friends from 9am-11am, service and committal at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church or St. Mark Church cemetery fund. The family would like to thank Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc for all the tender care they gave to Lois as she made her journey to meet her Savior.
