Lois Nadine Limbeck of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012. She was born on May 7, 1928, in Dresden, North Dakota to the late Henry and Matilda (nee Kuball) Sperling. Lois moved to Seattle, Washington as a child where she later attended the University of Washington, receiving degrees in music and teaching. In 1953, she took a bicycle tour of Europe and settled for several years in Heidelberg, Germany, where she taught music at a U.S. Army school and studied pipe organ. She then returned to Seattle to marry the late Dr. George Limbeck. After living several years in Seattle and then Corona del Mar, California, she and her husband relocated to Oconomowoc in 1976. Lois worked at Central Ontological and was member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church for over 30 years. She will be dearly missed by by her children, Sue (Chuck) Neumann of Oconomowoc, Kathy (Mark) Meddaugh of Watertown, George Limbeck (Peggy) of Sheboygan and Erich (Melissa) Limbeck of Manitowoc. She was the devoted grandmother of nine: Sarah (Adam) Mivelaz, Megan (Kyle) Driscoll, Molly Neumann, Emily (Leif) Moe-Lobeda, Katherine Limbeck, Mary Limbeck, Hannah Meddaugh Bryce Limbeck and Lauren Limbeck. She is the great-grandmother of two: Lucas and Kylie Mivelaz. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, George, her sisters, Marcy Fruetel and Jean Sullivan and her brother James Sperling. The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Hansen, the staff at the Oconomowoc Cancer Center and everyone at Angel's Grace Hospice for their devoted and loving care of Lois. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 AM, immediately followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 145 East Lisbon Road in Oconomowoc. A reception will be held at Our Savior's following the service. For those who wish, a brief graveside service will be held at St. Luke's cemetery in Ixonia following the funeral service, with the family returning to the church reception immediately following interment.
